Jon Shafer's At the Gates is a game that will send you back in time to the Roman Empire, where you will develop your own settlement. The story tells you that Rome gradually began to crumble, leading to a series of unfortunate consequences. The empire has now begun to fragment into smaller states, one of which you will take control of. You decide to create your own society, which in no way depends on the ruined Roman Empire. You will lead a portion of the people who will follow you, and will force to help create a new, carefree and protected future.
